Wyoming produces more coal than all of the Appalachian region combined! Now I understand all the trains!
Not much to say about today. We slept in an extra hour and took our time getting underway which was around 9. The forecast was for cloudy skies and the chance of isolated thundershowers in the afternoon. We dodge a couple of squalls and looking good to dodge another trying to stay optimistic about the morning. Well optimism turns to pessimism when I-80 gradually changes direction to the Northeast and points us right at the latest threat. We hop off at a Cracker Barrel and have a 1 hour breakfast. Come out and it is looking brighter behind us. So we gas up, all optimistic again, and get underway when I realize I am just chasing down the storm that just went through. I figure we'll ride in it for awhile and see if we can get through. When visibility is reduced to minus 5 feet I decide safety over valor and as luck would have it find a Super 8 ... my homes away from home. Since it is only 12:30 I figure I'll have to hangout at a Mickey D's until 2 or so for check in time. As luck would have it the Inn Keeper is a fellow rider. Not only that he has a trike which has been an interest of mine. He gave me some great information which now really has my interest piqued.
The good news is the extra time to hang out gave me the opportunity to once again reestablish myself as the Yahtzee champion of champions.
We just found out that American Idol is in Omaha this week. La La La ... "Comin' in from the cold, it's you, it's you, it's you I'm talkin' to now. Why do you look so sad and Jamaican?" Next stop ... Hollywoooooood.
Allrighty then, let me get my cool data published. We're outta here in the am.
